A tipping game in which random tippers win a ticket to the VIP show... that Lucky Duck!

Detailed Description

Tippers randomly win access to the VIP show within parameters set by the broadcaster. The broadcaster uses chat commands to easily flip between the public show and the VIP show.

The broadcaster chooses:

The minimum amount of a tip to enter the game (if it's over the threshold, let's call it a "hot tip.")
The minimum number of hot tips required before a Lucky Duck is drawn
The maximum number of hot tips required before a Lucky Duck is drawn

Playing with these parameters creates lots of options for how the game will go. See "Example Parameters" below.

Not all tips apply to the game! A tip from a user already on the list is not a hot tip, regardless of size. This keeps VIPs tipping without having to worry that their tip is taking someone else's chance to win.

The broadcaster can opt to provide users as much or as little information as she wishes about how to be a Lucky Duck.

An optional notifier tells users the minimum amount to tip to try to be a Lucky Duck. Disable to keep it a secret. Offer more info with a notification bot, room title, or via chat. (More options for notification coming soon!)

Broadcasters can also set a tip amount which allows users to directly gain access to show, both before and during the VIP show.

The game continues to run during the VIP show. The broadcaster can use the /set command to change the hot tip amount at any time, including during the VIP show.

The broadcaster can manually add or remove users from the VIP list, regardless of their tipping. See "Broadcaster Commands" below. However, if she removes someone from the list and he wins again, she will have to remove him again to keep him out of the VIP room. A "blacklist" and "whitelist" option will be coming soon.

Broadcaster Commands

/start starts the VIP show
/stop ends the VIP show
/list shows each user on the VIP list. Note- A long list will "spam" your chat
/add [username] e.g. "/add thefunnestcouple" adds a specific user to the VIP list
/remove [username] e.g. "/remove thefunnestcouple" removes a specific user from the VIP list
/check [username] e.g. "/check thefunnestcouple" checks if a particular user is on the VIP list
/set [number] e.g. "/set 20" sets the hot tip amount to the value entered. Can be used to increase or decrease.
/status shows message to BROADCASTER only about how many hot tips are needed for next winner and other handy details.

I suggest that you copy these commands so that you can refer to them as you are using the bot.

CAUTION: If using with other bots and apps:

This runs as a bot so that it can go alongside other bots and an app
It cannot pair with another bot or app that uses the limitCam feature!
Thorough testing with combinations of other apps and bots was NOT performed prior to release. Success and failure reports are appreciated.

Example Parameters

Playing with the "parameters" (the first 3 options on the settings page, namely the hot tip amount, and the range of number of tips for which Lucky Ducks are picked) creates very different results for the flow of the game.

The first time you use the bot, I reccommend you start with the default values. They promote a high level of activity, which will allow you to see how the bot works.
Want every 5th tipper to win? -- Set the upper and lower both to 5.
Want any tip to win? -- Set the hot tip amount to 1
Want every tip to win? -- Set all 3 to 1
Want any tip of 1000+ to win -- Set hot tip to 1000 and upper and lower both to 1. Note this can also happen by setting the direct buy in to 1000.
Want lots of winners? -- Set all 3 parameters to "low" numbers.
Want a yellow wall? -- Set the hot tip number low (i.e. 1 or 2) but the interval high. e.g. 20 and 40.
Want to encourage high tipping? -- Set your hot tip number higher.
For less predictability, have a wide range for your interval. For more predictablity, keep them closer together.

It will also have a different feel if you tell your users more or less info on how to win.
Combine with different bots and apps for more variety.
Note: Since this app can be set to encourage lots of tips, I don't reccommend pairing with bots/apps that notify upon every tip, especially if your hot tip number is low and/or your interval is high.
